Our top 10 ways to have fun at home during the holidays
04 Aug 2015
We’ve put together ten simple ideas for home fun during the school holidays. Everything is cheap, easy and provides hours of entertainment to while away the seven weeks of summer.
- Paper aeroplanes: Use up scrap paper and newspapers to build a fleet of paper planes. Throw them from an upstairs window or in the back garden and see which kind flies the furthest.
- Cooking: Making simple recipes is fun and gives kids a sense of pride. If you're concerned about them using the oven, try making chocolate crispy bars, which are chilled in the fridge instead and make it extra appealing with some fabulous coloured utensils from ProCook.
- Mini disco: Invite some of their friends round, blast out their favourite artists and let them dance ‘til they drop. All you'll have to do is provide drinks and snacks!
- Scavenger Hunts: Hand them each a list of odd and fun items to find – a worm, a funny-shaped stone and a clean pair of socks are among our favourites! They can hunt for them around the house and garden and maybe even win a prize – try Cadbury Factory Shop for some winning treats.
