Gloucestershire College’s brand new state-of-the-art Gloucester Docks campus welcomed its first intake of students in September 2007.
The college is located at the heart of the county’s most exciting and ambitious development programme for many years – the £200 million Gloucester Quays scheme.
Students will not only benefit from a brand new campus with excellent facilities, but also from the excitement generated by the unprecedented investment in Gloucester to make the city a vibrant and stimulating environment in which to live and work.
The new Gloucestershire College Docks campus development is the result of a strong partnership between organisations all working towards the same objective, to support Gloucester’s economic growth.
The new academic and vocational facilities at the college provide an unrivalled environment for learning, and up to 6,000 students take advantage of this every week. But that’s just half the story. With panoramic views from nearly every window, the campus has been designed to provide inspirational communal space where students can socialise and network, as well as study in an informal and supportive atmosphere.
This social space includes access to the neighbouring Llanthony Priory, one of Gloucester’s most historic monuments, where students have the freedom to wander and relax during their breaks.
The college offers countless facilities to support students through their time at college and succeed in achieving their personal development ambitions.
