Rare Cargoes are the Quay for Gloucester
9.7.2008
Gloucester can expect to see its historic docks featured in top fashion magazine Vogue later this year after a high end photo shoot took place there earlier today.
World renowned and top Vogue photographer Horst Diekgerdes led the shoot as part of the up and coming ‘Rare Cargoes’ advertising campaign being undertaken by Peel and British Waterways for the Gloucester Quays outlet development.
The ‘Rare Cargoes’ campaign will position Gloucester Quays confidently and stylishly so that it is clearly differentiated from other retail and leisure destinations. The unique waterside location and proximity to an extensive, appealing leisure offer are key elements in a strategy which will ensure that Gloucester Quays will become the leading fashion and leisure destination in the region.
The advertisements, which have been shot on various ships and dry docks in the area, will give a classic and timeless fashion look, with the backdrop picking up the merchant history and heritage of Gloucester.
Vogue is not only the most influential fashion magazine, promoting the ‘ultimate in style’ but is also widely read within the industry and is regarded as the ‘bible’ of the fashion trade. The ‘Rare Cargoes’ campaign will put Gloucester Quays firmly on the fashion map.
